We recently discovered this gem! We have been to Ixcanul three times, and I highly recommend the chimichanga. They do offer lunch specials, too. My favorite menu item so far is the Tres Leches cake. So delicious!

My only disappointment is that i'm only allowed to give five stars. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, with the staff that makes you feel appreciated for just being there and very helpful when ordering. The best part is there food is indescribably good. Every single component is perfect, making every plate invlcredible. If you haven't been here yet, you are truly depriving yourself this place is worth stopping in

Stopped for an early dinner on a Friday. Service was fantastic--hospitable and attentive. Our food was very good. But having eaten a lot of excellent Guatemalan food, this was a little different. I guess there are a variety of styles even in smaller countries. The dining room is festive with bright colors and attractive murals. It would be nice to feature some Guatemalan music. It seemed a little eerie listening only to compressors running.

It was amazing. From the tortilla chips to start to the final bite. Delicious. The steak on the tacos was tender. The portions were immense. The grilled scallions were a wonderful addition. Service was attentive. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere great. It was a lovely meal.

Best Mexican food in Michigan hands down!!!! We are from Texas and we have not found a Mexican food restaurant comparable. Until we have found this place. We travel 45 min to come here. Amazing family establishment

I gave 4 stars for food only because I don't like cilantro and most of the items had it in but the food was excellent otherwise. Margaretta was a little small but had decent alcohol and flavor. Stronger garlic flavor in refried beans and liked that. Service was great.

This place was great! The food, service and price made the little drive worth it! :) Plus they sell beer too! Everything We tried was good! Attentive staff, We didn't wait for anything. Super Clean too. Recommend if your in the mood for a good place to eat! UPDATE: second visit, loved dinner and staff the same!

We ate dinner here twice. The food is delicious, try something from the Guatemalan menu you won't be disappointed. Both times we were there the owner came from the kitchen and asked every customer how their meal was. We're new to the area and have been out exploring the parks, trails and restaurants this one's save in the phone as the Taco spot.
